The collaboration between IIMA and Duke Corporate Education (Duke CE) designs and delivers programmes throughout India, the Middle East, and West Asia.
Collaboration with Duke Corporate Education:
IIMA entered into a collaboration with Duke CE in June 2006 and the new campus houses the office of this collaboration. The Financial Times and BusinessWeek magazine have ranked Duke CE as the world's best provider of custom executive education for the last several years consecutively.
The IIMA-Duke CE's collaborative vision - using education as a means to help clients affect corporate strategy-relies on the help of IIMA faculty and staff to help large global organizations throughout India, the Middle East, and West Asia to design and deliver intensively customized corporate education focused on addressing business challenges and achieving specific business outcomes. An extensive network of coaches, facilitators, industry experts, retired executives, and other faculty help the collaboration make it happen.
Through its affiliations with other leading universities and institutions across the globe (such as London School of Economics in Europe), the IIMA-Duke CE collaboration provides clients with educational programs customized to local contexts while simultaneously ensuring global consistency and quality. Global affiliations give them richness of content and help them adapt education to regional needs.
Prof. Shailendra Raj Mehta headed the
collaboration as its Regional Managing Director for India, Middle East
and West Asia from May 2006 to April 2010. Other members of the Duke CE
India team assisting him were Dr. Bill Bigoness (Managing Director and
Chief Operating Officer) and Prof. Bibek Banerjee (as Associate
Director). Dr. Liz Mellon is the current head of Duke CE in India and
is assisted by Nikhil Raval as Managing Director. Dr. Mehta continues
to serve as Academic Director of Duke CE.
In addition to their presence at IIMA, Duke CE has offices in the US (New York, NY; Durham, NC; Carlsbad, CA) and in London, UK.
